One London Newsletter: October 2020

What’s the first thing that springs to mind when you think of October? Pumpkin spice lattes, maybe. Or else snuggly knits, bright (but bracing) weekend walks, perhaps even an ill-advised Halloween costume that may now need to wait until 2021 to make an appearance…

Either way, I’d really like to draw your attention to the fact that October is Black History Month.  In rather an understatement, 2020 has been quite the year for shining a light on the contribution black and ethnic minority individuals make, both inside and outside the agency, in the world of comms and far, far beyond. At the same time, it has also shone a light on the struggles many of us still face across these spheres. So to kick off this edition of the Ketchum London Newsletter, I’d like to raise a virtual glass to everyone who makes our incredible team what it is today, the varied experiences and personal histories that both set us apart and bring us together, and to the ongoing efforts to ensure that we are helping to shape a more equitable future through the work we do and what we stand for.

– Chelsea King, Account Manager

This month’s special newsletter dedicated to Black History Month was curated and edited by Paige Caldeira, Sofiat Kolawole, Chelsea King and Nahla Idris

Braun: Say It With A Shave

To celebrate the launch of its new shaving portfolio, Braun partnered with Rankin to create a virtual photography gallery.

In a true One London effort, we have been working hard to launch Braun’s new shaving portfolio – Series 5, Series 6 and Series 7.  To bring this to life, Braun partnered with world-renowned portrait photographer Rankin to capture the personalities behind the grooming styles of modern men and showcase the versatility of styling through a virtual gallery inspired by the Bauhaus roots of the brand.

To launch, the team hosted a live global launch event with over 30 media across Europe, where guests were taken through the virtual photography exhibition showcasing Rankin’s work, followed by a live Q&A with the man himself. The talent photographed by Rankin includes Tudor Laurini, David Jakobs, Cle Hunnigan, Fred Sirieix and Jesus Gavilan.
